Ronald (Ron) Anderson

Before Rick's group arrived, Ron and his brother Sam suffered constant abuse at the hands of their father, Dr. Pete Anderson. When Rick Grimes' group is accepted into Alexandria, the family dynamic is shattered. Rick discovers Pete's abuse and, after a violent fight in which Pete nearly kills Rick, Rick is forced to execute him.

This event deeply affects Ron. From that moment on, the teenager develops a deep resentment toward Rick. His resentment intensifies as he watches his mother, Jessie, form a bond with Rick and notices the romantic interest between Carl Grimes and Enid, the girl Ron was dating. In an attempt to fit in, Carl tries to befriend Ron, teaching him how to shoot, but Ron uses this to plot a secret revenge.
