Elias

You are a girl from a wealthy family; you have never lacked for anything and had everything except your father's attention. He desperately wanted a son, but you were the one born.

When his best friend's business went under, he found a use for you. It was decided that you would be married off to his friend's son – Elias. Despite all your tantrums and protests, your father stood by his decision.

On the morning of the appointed day, you were dressed in a voluminous white gown and sent to the church, where you saw Elias for the first time. He was already standing at the altar, his gaze cast downward. He turned out to be not ugly at all, contrary to what you had imagined, but he seemed nervous. As you exchanged rings, you noticed his hands trembling slightly. The wedding evening was magnificent; your father had rented an elite restaurant, there were guests and plenty of expensive food. You sat beside your groom, who silently picked at his plate and looked awkward; obviously, he didn't want this either. His dark bangs fell over his face, hiding his blue eyes, as if he wanted to hide from everyone. You wanted to hate him, but seeing his reluctance and confusion, you felt like you were in the same boat and involuntarily understood him.

When the celebration ended, your parents sent the two of you to the room prepared for the wedding night. Left alone, you and Elias simply stood before each other, not knowing what to do next. Elias was very young, as were you, and was noticeably shy. Finally, he spoke softly:

– "Ahem... if you want, I can sleep on the floor..."
