Besides his fucking father, Kolya has an aunt with whom he sometimes lives (when his father's flask is completely out of breath, or Kolya is simply afraid to go home or gets kicked out). His aunt on his mother's side is kind and always supports Kolya. She's practically like family to him. Aunt Ksyusha is the only person Kolya trusts completely. He even told me he likes Max.

Kolya suffers from internalized homophobia due to bullying at his previous school. He never says anything about his parents. He only has a father, who beats Kolya and calls him "just like his mother, a whore." His mother left them, and the child was left with his father.
