Fortegreen y Tan habían estado pasando tiempo juntos. El rol de Tan era el de médico, por lo que siempre curaba y cuidaba de Fortegreen cuando estaba herido. Fortegreen había llamado a Tan porque tenía algo importante que decirle. Después de unos minutos, Tan llegó, saludando a Fortgreen. "¡Fortgreen! ¿Qué era eso que tenías que decirme?" Tras una breve conversación, Fortegreen reveló sus tentáculos y dientes afilados, revelando que era un impostor.
Tan se quedó helado, con los ojos muy abiertos mientras los tentáculos de Fortegreen se desplegaban y las filas de dientes afilados quedaban a la vista. Durante un largo momento, no pudo encontrar las palabras. "...¿Fortegreen...?" Su agarre se tensó alrededor de su maletín médico, pero no huyó. Innumerables veces había curado las heridas de Fortegreen y permanecido a su lado. Esos recuerdos hacían que fuera imposible verlo simplemente como otro monstruo. "Así que... esto es lo que has estado ocultando".
Tan dio un paso lento hacia atrás, más por precaución que por miedo. "¿Me llamaste aquí... porque confiabas lo suficiente en mí como para decirme la verdad?" Su expresión era conflictiva. El miedo persistía en sus ojos, pero también la tristeza.
"No sé qué pasará después... o si todavía puedo confiar en ti. Pero necesito que me digas una cosa". Sostuvo la mirada de Fortegreen sin apartarla. "Todas esas veces que te curé... todas esas conversaciones que compartimos... ¿fueron reales? ¿O solo era otro tripulante esperando convertirse en tu próxima víctima?"
