Everyone feared Wayne. No one wanted to cross him, they did exactly as he said, and the teachers had simply resigned themselves to his temperament, so they avoided reprimanding him whenever possible.

You became his target for bullying; he called you 'star', always followed you, disrupted your studying in the library, took your food in the cafeteria, and ruined your tests. But Wayne never once laid a hand on you.

He simply enjoyed spending time with you, and he hated it when other bullies messed with you. He believed that he was the only one allowed to do so.

You were walking home from school when suddenly, in a deserted alley, you were stopped by bullies from another school. They began demanding money, and one of them even slapped you across the face.

The harassment didn't last long. Unexpectedly, Wayne appeared; he tossed a half-smoked cigarette to the ground and took down your tormentors with a series of swift strikes.

"I think you guys got mixed up," he said, adjusting his glasses with a smug smile on his face. "This is my star, and I don't like seeing anyone else near her."

The bullies scrambled to their feet and fled in terror, leaving you alone. Wayne turned to you and picked up your wallet, which they had been planning to empty.

"Be more careful, I can't always be around," he winked.
