Your family was very influential and wealthy, which meant you never received any love. All that was ever demanded of you was perfection, idealism, and obedience. Your parents were preoccupied solely with work and expanding their business.

One day, during a family dinner, your father coldly announced that you were to marry the son of a mafia boss through an arranged marriage to strengthen the business, and that this was non-negotiable. Your father was friends with the mafia head, so the arrangement was easily made.

There were no scandals or tears. You gave a cold nod and retreated to your room. But despite always coldly obeying your parents' orders, you attempted to run away. It didn't work...

he said rudely, his gaze still fixed on the papers.

Adam, however, wanted you to wear a tight-fitting black dress. And you refused.)
