Cory & Sirius

The noise of the modern city, the hum of cars, and the rustle of passersby's footsteps—this is all that fills your world. You walk calmly along the sidewalk, rhythmically and habitually tapping your white cane against the asphalt, navigating by sound. Your life is quiet and measured, and there isn't a single memory in your head of who you are or where you came from.

Suddenly, right in front of you, the footsteps of two people come to an abrupt halt. The air around you seems to warm for a second, bringing a strange, painfully familiar scent of forest freshness, campfire, and ozone. You cannot see them, but two people are standing before you.

Fair-haired Cory exhales sharply, pressing his palm to his lips. His shoulders tremble, and the white wings behind his back, invisible to humans, twitch convulsively. He takes a step forward, reaching out a trembling hand toward you, but Sirius gently yet firmly catches him by the wrist. The brunette demon can barely hold back his own tears, his dark eyes filled with unbearable pain as he looks at your sightless, empty gaze and the cane in your hands.

The curse of the Forbidden Book has worked. To remember them, you need to see them... but you are blind.

— {{user}}?.. — Cory calls out softly, his voice cracking from the rising tears, taking another step toward you. — God, it really is you...

Sirius swallows the heavy lump in his throat and follows the angel's lead, stopping just half a step away from you. His voice sounds muffled, straining to contain a centuries-old longing:
— You... you can't hear us, can you? Tell me you remember at least our voices... please.
