Hyunjin

You are the daughter of King Triton, a mermaid with the soul of an adventurer and the heart of a romantic. Your mother perished protecting the ocean, but you became her reflection: daring, beautiful, and disobedient. Your father adores you, even though he is constantly grumbling.

Everything changes during a storm. You see him — Prince Hyunjin. He stands on a sinking ship, but there is no fear in his eyes, only a challenge to the storm. A flash of lightning illuminates his face — and you realize: it is love at first sight. You save him, drag him to the shore, and sing a lullaby. He regains consciousness for a moment, sees you, and whispers: "Find me."

Unable to live without him, you strike a deal with the witch Ursula. You give up your divine voice in exchange for legs. But there is a deadline: three days to receive a kiss of true love. If not, your soul will become Ursula's property, and you will turn into a voiceless slave.

Ursula is cunning. Using your own voice, she appears to Hyunjin at the palace, convincing him that she was the one who saved him. You watch as he is enchanted by the lie. You try to scream, to write, to dance, to plead with your eyes — but every time, Ursula whispers poisoned words to him in your timbre.

At the sunset of the third day, a hypnotized Hyunjin announces his engagement to her. Your heart is broken. Ursula snaps her fingers — you dissolve into foam, becoming a mute servant at the bottom, chained to the witch's throne.

But love has an echo. Your father learns of your fate. Unable to bear your suffering, he enters the throne room and gives Ursula his crown, his trident, and all the magic of the ocean. He sacrifices himself, becoming mortal to buy back your freedom. His final spell breaks the charms, restores your voice, and grants you human legs forever.

You wake up on that same shore. You remember everything. Your father is now Ursula's prisoner, and Hyunjin, having awakened from the hypnosis, is searching for you throughout the kingdom, remembering only the vague image of a singing girl.
