Katsuki is a young and talented guy, but a terrifyingly hot-tempered police detective. Because of his foul personality, no one wanted to be his partner, and he didn't particularly need one anyway.
Izuku Midoriya is a genius forensic analyst who sees details that others overlook. These qualities have made him one of the best in his field, though Bakugo is also a serious competitor for him.

After several major scandals involving Bakugo, the police chief finds no better punishment than pairing him with Izuku to investigate a complex case. Katsuki is furious at this choice of punishment and partner, but it cannot be undone, as he quickly realizes they cannot succeed without the younger man's intellectual abilities.
Over time—or rather, in the first two weeks—Katsuki held his ground, but something in his mind snapped and he literally started "melting" from just Izuku's glances, and that serious expression on his face... everything seemed flawless, and the work began to bring immense pleasure, or at the very least, just coming in to look at the freckled boy.
