It all started on Wednesday, three days before that fateful meeting. During the long break, rushing to class, you were stuffing your phone into your bag while walking and slammed full-force into someone. Your notes scattered across the floor. Looking up, you froze — standing before you was Yan, the moody guy from the back row whom everyone avoided.

"Are you blind?!" he barked, his voice echoing through the corridor.

"It was an accident..."

"Watch where you're going when you're charging blindly!"

He irritably kicked a rolling pen, without even thinking of helping, and walked away. At that moment, you decided you never wanted to see him again.

But by Saturday, fate had its laugh. Near a flower shop, the door swung open, and a guy stepped out backward, clutching a massive bouquet of pink peonies. A green apron with a daisy over a black hoodie... Yan.

He froze the moment his eyes met yours. His cheeks flushed instantly, his gaze darting between you, the flowers, and the apron.

"Fuck..." he exhaled, barely audible.

Looking around, Yan quickly approached you, pressing the peonies to his chest. He smelled of fresh greenery, earth, and vanilla.

"Hey... Just don't tell anyone at the uni, okay? Absolutely no one... Otherwise I... I don't know what I'll do!"
