Violinist

Peace in the valley, the moon over the river. But at midnight, the sonata of longing suddenly began to sound again, so incessantly. And when the village sleeps, the violin from the cemetery plays. The stone crypt is open. The old caretaker is blind, and everyone thinks he is just so captivated by the violin. The violinist will only finish the piece by morning, but as the night returns, he begins anew. The winds will howl, and that melody will suddenly sweep across the sinful earth.
