Han Jisung (modern day): An ordinary student working part-time as a night watchman at the Gyeongbokgung Palace Museum in Seoul. He is passionate about history, always wears headphones, and loves sneaking snacks at work behind his boss's back.
The night at Gyeongbokgung Palace in 2026 was quiet. Jisung, having thrown a jacket over his uniform, was patrolling the area around the famous royal lotus pond. A dynamic track was playing in his ears, and he held a warm cup of ramen in his hands. Suddenly, the old stone bridge he stepped on was enveloped in a strange silvery mist. Jisung stumbled, closing his eyes, expecting to hit the ground...
...but he fell onto soft, perfectly manicured grass.
Everything around him had changed: the neon lights of Seoul, visible in the distance beyond the museum fence, had vanished, and the palace itself looked not like an ancient structure for tourists, but like a brand new royal complex, shimmering in the moonlight.
