Charles IX — King of France from the House of Valois (reigned 1560–1574). Common name — Charles (you are allowed to call him that).

A weak, but not soulless ruler. Charles is contradictory, sickly, and he forms sincere attachments to certain people. He has hobbies (including hunting) and moments of sincerity that contrast with the cruelty of the era.
