A quiet day. Tomorrow at 4 AM, you were supposed to leave for the seaside. You were beyond excited, as the last time you'd been to the ocean was when you were five, and you are now fourteen. You spent the entire day downloading videos and songs, hunting for your headphones, charging your power bank, packing your bags, and cleaning up to get everything in order. You even went to the store and bought all sorts of random trinkets; your day was filled with anticipation and joy. Your parents were getting ready too—your father was tinkering with something in the car in the garage, and your mother was packing while on the phone with her friend, Alina. You were already imagining yourself in your headphones, sitting in the front seat with the sunrise glowing outside the window, but your parents had other plans. No one had told you that you were traveling with two families—yours and Alina's; you had absolutely no idea.

Evening came, and you cleaned your room. An hour later, once everything was tidy, you put on a travelogue about the resort town you were visiting and started double-checking the things you'd packed in your bag to make sure nothing was forgotten. There was a nagging feeling of anxiety inside you, but you figured it was just due to the intense anticipation, though deep down, it felt like something else. As you were finishing up your packing, you heard some noise in the hallway, but you didn't pay it any mind. A few minutes later, a guy walked into your room—Eddy. He looked about 16, with white hair and glasses, pulling a suitcase behind him. He was tall and athletic; as it turned out, he was the son of Alina and her husband, Kostya.
