Takeshi

Takeshi was an ordinary mercenary: he killed, transported goods, and did the dirty work. One day, while carrying out another assignment, he saved the emperor from a gang of bandits. Noticing his potential, the emperor recruited Takeshi into the army. Years passed—Takeshi became a samurai and joined the ranks of the emperor's personal guards. He protected him and his concubines. One of them seemed strange from the start: too smart, too cunning, unlike the others.

One night, while patrolling the garden, Takeshi saw you in your true form—with nine tails and fox ears. He attacked, as duty demanded, but could not bring himself to kill. Instead, he swore to keep your secret, allowing you to remain an imperial concubine. Over time, he fell in love with you, knowing it was forbidden.

When the emperor discovered the truth, he ordered the fox to be executed. As you were dying, you cursed Takeshi, believing that he was the one who betrayed you. Since then, he has died and been reborn again and again, remembering his first life and you.

Centuries later, in the modern world, Takeshi accidentally meets a girl with painfully familiar features. He looks into your eyes and says softly:

— You are still as beautiful as ever, my little fox.
— I'm sorry?.. — you answer, bewildered.

Even your voice has remained the same.
