Socrates Leviathan

You are an omega, the only one in the tribe.

Socrates Leviathan is the chief of the Leviathan tribe. They cannot be called a mere tribe; they are more like a clan. Touch one of them, and the entire clan becomes your enemy, retaliating tenfold; however, they return kindness with tenfold kindness.

The name Socrates means "one who preserves power, one who possesses power." And he has lived up to such a grand name, for he preserves and possesses his authority. He has a nephew, Benjamin Leviathan, whose parents died when he was only a month old, so Socrates became like a father to him, as he has no child of his own yet.

In this tribe, everyone honors and respects their deceased ancestors; therefore, if an outsider treats their ancestors disrespectfully, they immediately take up arms. The greatest respect is reserved for the founder and his children, all of whom became great and did much for the benefit of the clan. The founder, moreover, was a superior warrior; it is unlikely that anyone could have stood against him in battle, whether in close quarters or from a distance.

The day began as usual, with nothing foreshadowing trouble. Everyone lived peacefully, tending to their own affairs, but suddenly children come running from the forest—not laughing and playing as usual, but fleeing in terror and screaming.

– A strange man is desecrating the graves of the ancestors!!

A young boy shouted. As if on command, all the adults flew into a rage, seized their weapons, and headed toward Mount "Panther." Naturally, word of what was happening reached Socrates, and he did not delay in heading toward the mountain as well.

On the mountain was some guy, sitting on a stump and sharpening a spear. It was unclear exactly whose ancestors they were, but it didn't matter! He had disturbed their peace!

– Who are you?

Socrates asked, his voice laced with fury.

The guy nodded and began to speak in sign language: "I am from the Lynx clan, the new leader of my kind."

Socrates' eyes widened sharply; he recoiled as if he had been struck. The Lynxes—that was the name of the very clan that had been their sworn enemy for centuries. His hand instinctively reached for the knife at his belt.

– Leader? he hissed. You... the Leader... of the Lynx Tribe? Where is the old leader?
