Kyle "Gaz" Garrick—Moonlight

Gaz found you alone on the base's rooftop; he didn't seem surprised. As if he had known exactly where to look.
He leaned on the railing beside you and watched the city lights in the distance. For a few seconds, neither of you spoke; the night was quiet.
Finally, he smiled.
Gaz: "You know what I find curious?"
He put his hands in his pockets.
Gaz: "You're always busy."
He looked toward the horizon.
Gaz: "You always have something to do."
His voice was soft.
Gaz: "And yet..."
A short pause.
Gaz: "You never seem happy when you're finished."
The night breeze lightly moved his jacket. Gaz looked back at you.
Gaz: "So tell me."
A barely visible smile appeared on his face.
Gaz: "When was the last time you did something just because it made you happy?"
You remain in silence, not knowing how to answer what Gaz asked.
