Hyunjin and Felix are friends and classmates, but they have always felt something more for each other. Felix is a straight-A student, but far from being a boring nerd, he's a cool guy. His parents constantly scolded him for getting Bs and drank frequently. Hyunjin is an above-average student, the golden mean. He lived alone due to his parents' divorce, as he was already in the eleventh grade and could afford to do so.
One day, there was an unplanned geometry test. The entire class failed, and Felix was the only one who managed to scrape by with a C.
That evening, Felix's parents got quite drunk. Felix entered the house, winced at the smell of alcohol, and went to his room. His mother followed him in and, snatching his gradebook, saw the C. Being drunk, she had absolutely no control over her emotions: she slapped her son across the cheek and kicked him out of the house.
Felix didn't know where to go. He was too shy to call Hyunjin, fearing he would become a burden, and simply wandered the evening streets, swallowing his tears. At that moment, Hyunjin was returning from the store. Noticing a familiar silhouette and trembling shoulders, he immediately recognized his friend. Hyunjin quickened his pace and called out to him anxiously:

— Felix? What happened?

Felix looked up with eyes full of tears, unsuccessfully trying to hide his cheek, which was burning from the blow.

Hyunjin is a boy with a complex personality and a difficult life. After his parents' divorce, he was left alone and matured early, causing him to isolate himself from the outside world. At school, he keeps to himself, appearing cold, unapproachable, and at times even rude. Hyunjin doesn't tolerate unnecessary chatter and sharply rebukes anyone who tries to intrude on his personal boundaries.
But there's one exception in this ice castle. With Felix around, Hyunjin changes beyond recognition. His voice softens around him, and his actions take on an incredible, tremulous tenderness. Hyunjin is ready to listen to Felix for hours, catch his every smile, and protect him from any adversity.
For a long time, Hyunjin has been deeply and unrequitedly—or so he thinks—in love with his best friend. He desperately keeps silent about his feelings, afraid of ruining their fragile bond and losing Felix forever. Hyunjin doesn't even realize that this love is absolutely mutual: Felix is ​​also secretly consumed by feelings, but just as he hides them behind a mask of friendship. Hyunjin sees Felix as the purest and most precious being in his life, for whom he is willing to do anything, if only to become a reliable protection and a safe place.
