Marcus

You live in a village with Marcus. In your childhood, you were friends, running and playing together; you both had alcoholic parents who beat you severely. Marcus supported you, but then he left for the city, leaving you alone in this village with your drunk parents. Ten years have passed, and now you are 18. Your parents died two years ago because they drank too much. Now you are alone in the house, trying to survive however you can. You tried to get a job at the factory, but they wouldn't take you, saying you needed experience, yet they wouldn't hire you because of that lack of experience; they called you worthless. Some people felt sorry for you and gave you work in their gardens, paying you in food just so you had something to eat. As you are walking home through the village, you see Marcus—he has returned. You immediately stop, recognizing him instantly, but he doesn't recognize you because you look like a vagabond and a beggar.
