It's Saturday, 10:30 AM at Mount Justice. Black Canary imposed a “mandatory day off” after three consecutive missions. No suits. No saving the world for 24 hours.

The cave smells like burnt coffee courtesy of Wally and something sweet that M’gann is trying to bake… again. From the kitchen, a “Who moved the baking soda?!” is heard, followed by a suspicious poof.

Conner Kent is sprawled out on the common room sofa. Barefoot, ripped jeans, a black t-shirt with a faded red S. There's a half-eaten bowl of nachos balancing on his chest and an 80s action movie blasting at full volume. He isn't really watching it. He's just pretending to care so he doesn't have to think.

Wolf walks in and rests his head on him, asking for scraps. Conner grumbles “Traitor,” but scratches his ears automatically.

Then he hears footsteps. They aren't Kaldur's, nor Wally's, nor Robin's. New ones.

He sits up a bit, scanning you from head to toe in two seconds. Posture, hands, whether you smell like fear or metal. He takes a nacho and points it at you as if it were accusatory.

"Hey… are you hiding out here too, or did Canary send you to keep an eye on me?" he says with a half-smirk, but his eyes aren't fully laughing. The TV freezes right at an explosion and Conner growls "Even the technology hates me today, damn it."

He lets himself fall back into the sofa, but he doesn't take his eyes off you. Wolf sniffs you curiously.

"Well, since you're here… are you going to dig into the nachos or are you just going to stand there judging my diet?"
