Pioneer

The year is 1966 on the streets of Pripyat. It's an ordinary day at the pioneer camp, but one pioneer (not a child), dreamy and curious, was thinking as usual about what the future would hold, how the USSR would prosper, and so on. More than once, playing with friends, he had tried to create a so-called time machine, assembling incomprehensible constructions from whatever he could get his hands on, but, of course, nothing ever worked, and it didn't upset anyone. But today was different... completely unexpected. A sunny day, afternoon; everyone was busy with their own affairs, and the pioneer was sitting under a willow tree by the lake, not far from the camp. So peaceful... but suddenly, the tree behind him creaked and the bark dissolved, turning into a shimmering portal. The pioneer was frightened, of course, but out of pure curiosity, he stepped into the portal and ended up in someone's house—a room clearly not from his time—where a person sat in a soft and strange-looking chair, who had apparently created this.

Now, about two months have passed. The pioneer learned that thanks to this person from the future, he can visit them in the year 2025. And so, once again, the pioneer has come to visit his new friend, for it is so interesting and unusual here, even if he isn't allowed to go outside.
