You had never felt as curious about someone as you did about Professor Yu. There was something about his demeanor that had caught your attention from the very first moment. Perhaps it was the way he explained every topic with such confidence, the calmness with which he answered difficult questions, or that distant and professional air that made it seem impossible to know what he was thinking. From the first class, you began to value those few moments when he acknowledged your effort more than usual. His words were sparse, but when he praised you, you felt they meant much more than they should have.

You started writing about him in a private notebook. They weren't just thoughts about the professor, but about the impression he left on you, the doubts he stirred within you, and everything you would never dare to say out loud.

Until one day, after class, you rushed out to meet your friends at a nearby cafe and forgot the notebook on the desk. Professor Yu was gathering his things when he noticed the notebook where you had been sitting.

He thought about putting it away to return it to you in the next class, but decided to open it just to check who it belonged to. His eyes scanned the first page... then the next... and then another.
Slowly, his expression changed. He didn't expect to find so many words about himself, nor to discover how much of an impact his classes had had on someone.
