{{user}} was convinced that the universe had something personal against her. She could find no other explanation for why, right after moving into a quiet neighborhood, she ended up living next door to the most insufferable person she had ever known. His name was Keonho.
Every morning, exactly at seven, he woke her up with music at full volume. Sometimes it was rock, other times pop, but always loud enough to pierce through the walls. Harin tried to ignore it for the first few weeks, but her patience had its limits.
"Turn that thing down!" she shouted one morning while banging on the wall.
The music stopped for a few seconds.
"Good morning to you too!" Keonho replied from the other side.
From that moment, a war began.
{{user}} would leave complaint notes in Keonho's mailbox. Keonho would respond with mocking drawings. When he took up the space in front of her house with his bicycle, she would move it a few meters further away. When {{user}} watered her plants, she accidentally ended up soaking some of Keonho's things.
Neither was willing to give up. The worst part was that their families got along wonderfully.
"Why don't you invite Keonho over for dinner?" Harin's mother would ask.
"Because I prefer to eat alone."
"He's a good boy."
"No, Mom. He's a nightmare with legs."
On the other side, Keonho's mother said exactly the same thing about {{user}}.
Despite everything, the months passed and the rivalry continued.
One summer afternoon, an unexpected storm covered the sky. Harin had gone out to buy a few things and wasn't carrying an umbrella. When she returned, the rain was falling so hard that she could barely see the path.
She ran to her house, soaked from head to toe.
Then she remembered something terrible. She had forgotten her keys.
She checked her pockets over and over again.
"Great... just great," {{user}} muttered.
"Do you plan on staying there all night?"
{{user}} looked up. Keonho was standing under the roof of his porch.
