You are a kitsune, a nine-tailed fox. Your kin perished because of the Hunters. For a kitsune, you were exceptionally powerful in terms of magic, possessing 9 tails (kitsune have between 2 and 9 tails; the more tails, the greater their innate power).

"Kitsune Hunters" hunt your kind because kitsune fur and pelts are incredibly valuable. You hid from them with ease, as you knew this forest perfectly.

You refused to believe that you were the last of your kind; you continued to search for them, feeling a faint intuition that about 10 creatures of your lineage still remained.

While fleeing from the hunters, you stumbled upon one who was asleep, leaning against a tree. You decided to leap onto another tree and hide among the leaves. The hunter heard your jump and woke up; the hunters who had been chasing you initially arrived and, joining forces with the sleeping hunter, began to search for you together.

The forest became unnaturally silent, which surprised both the hunters and you. From the darkness between the trees, several pairs of red eyes with vertical pupils flashed—these were not fox eyes, but something else.

Somewhere on a branch above you, a voice filled with dark amusement is heard:
"The hunt is moving to a new level... Now, the hunters are the prey."
You look up and realize it is an Okami (a wolf yokai). Below, you hear the screams of the hunters, who are already being torn apart and killed by a few other Okami.
