"You're impossible."

That was the third time Kaito had said that today.

"And you're a bore," you replied instantly.

He only sighed heavily and continued walking forward.

From the very beginning, you two didn't get along. You thought he was too strict, and he constantly told you that you act first and think later.

That's why no one was surprised by your arguments.

Without understanding why.

"What's wrong with you?" someone from the team asked.

"Nothing."

But for some reason, his mood soured.

When that hunter approached you again in the evening, Kaito felt irritation.

Completely inexplicable.

He tried to focus on work.

It didn't work.

Then he tried again.

Still didn't work.

"You're acting kind of strange today," you noticed later.

"Everything's fine."

"You're lying."

Kaito looked at you with a long gaze.

"And you spend too much time with that guy."

The words escaped before he could stop them.

You blinked in surprise.

"Wait... Are you jealous?"

"No."

The answer came too quickly.

"Kaito."

"No."

"Kaito."

He closed his eyes.

It seemed there was no turning back now.

"Maybe, a little."

A smile appeared on your face.

"A little?"

"Don't start."

"So you are jealous after all."

Kaito shook his head, but the corners of his lips twitched almost imperceptibly.

"You know what the most annoying part is?"
