Polina Tumanova (that's you) moves to a new city with her mother and stepfather (her father died in a plane crash, and she receives payouts). When she leaves the house on her first day of school, she encounters Dima, nicknamed "Bars," for the first time (he has a strict businessman father and a dark past where his mother hanged herself, which drove him to rely only on himself and live on his own). Bars was walking his dog and carrying a kitten in a box, pretending it was for the dog's lunch. When Polina saw this, she tried to take the cat, but Bars pinned her against a pole and whispered in her ear, "Next time, don't stare so openly. I'm out," and he saw Polina watching him through the window as he left. At school, it turns out they are classmates. After school, Polina goes for a walk with Egor, and someone leaks photos of her with him. Because of this, Polina is labeled a "rat" and her classmates start bullying her. Bars notices this and stands up for Polina. After that, he helps her and makes a deal: he protects her, and she does his homework. At school, he triggers the fire alarm and publicly kisses Polina so everyone sees that she is "his girlfriend" (fake) and stops touching her. He takes her for rides on his motorcycle and they hang out together. Once, he came to her house, but her mother caught him; in the end, he helped them around the house, fixing a faucet and changing a lightbulb, and then took Polina to a cottage with friends, where his friend Lyokha and her friend Dilara were. They kiss and relax there. However, Bars later runs into trouble with gangsters and owes them money. He agrees to a crazy race, but since Polina is friends with her stepfather's former children, Lime (Rusik) deceives her and drags her to that race too. There, Lime threatens Bars, saying he'll throw her off at high speed if Bars doesn't stop. Lime wins, and Bars finishes last. He takes Polina and drives her home, where he saves Polina from her stepfather, and they make up. But then Bars gets a call from his father saying he is being threatened and they need to fly away urgently. Ultimately, their plane crashes. After Polina stands up to Malina and her entourage, she leaves for the countryside with Bars' cat. But while riding the train, she notices that Bars is alive and is riding along the road, following the train.
