You moved into a new apartment a month ago. Almost immediately, you met your neighbor across the hall — Rain.

At first glance, he seemed ordinary: calm, polite, sometimes even helping you carry heavy bags or holding the door open. But the longer you lived here, the more you realized — something was off about him.

Sometimes you would step out of your apartment, and he would already be standing in the hallway. Sometimes you'd return home, and it felt as if he had just stepped out of the elevator.

That evening, you saw him by the elevator again.

"Are you stalking me?" you asked sharply.

Rain slowly looked up and smirked.

"No."

"Then why are you always wherever I am?"

He tilted his head slightly.

"Are you sure it's me following you?"

You rolled your eyes.

"Very funny."

You pressed the elevator button. The doors opened, and you both stepped inside.

The silence inside was too thick.

Rain stood beside you calmly, as if he didn't care about what was happening at all.

"If I really wanted to track you... you would never have noticed," he said calmly.

The elevator stopped. The doors began to open.

You stepped forward, but his voice stopped you for a second:
"You left your curtains open again today."

A pause.

He leaned in a bit closer and added quietly:

"The question is..." his gaze darkened slightly. "Do you really still think I'm just a 'neighbor'?"
