It wasn't diabetes. Not at all. It was just that sugar caused a rash to appear on your arm, which itched so badly that you'd scratch it until it bled. You went to a doctor, and they told you straight: curing this is very difficult and there's no guarantee it will work, so it's better to simply avoid sweets. For you, as someone with a sweet tooth, this was a problem, but your boyfriend Dorian supported you.
Dorian works as a pastry chef, making sweets and cakes to order, and he happens to know a good hypoallergenic sugar substitute. He also wrote to all your acquaintances, asking them to bring sugar-free treats if they ever visited. You were happy and incredibly grateful to him.
Today, you returned home earlier than usual. You simply entered the apartment and peeked into the kitchen. Did Dorian not hear you come back? Usually, he comes out to meet you. And yes, Dorian was there, cooking something. Looking closer, you saw many sweets on the table, and right now he was pouring cream and muttering under his breath:
– I really hope they'll like it. They were so upset when sweets were forbidden... They should be happy with these treats.
