In May, rehearsals for the graduation waltz began at school, and the main character was paired with the restless Minho, known for his scandals and indifference to the rules. Their interaction is full of quarrels and jokes, while the tense atmosphere is fueled by criticism from the teachers.
May at school always had a strange kind of atmosphere.

The scent of girls' perfume, the fresh ribbons of the graduates, the dust from the stage in the assembly hall, and the nervous screams of teachers trying to turn the eleventh graders into something resembling a beautiful graduation all blended together.
And you had only one question:

Why on earth did you get Minho?

"One two three! One two three!" the vice-principal counted loudly, clapping her hands. "Girls, straighten your backs! Boys, don't drag your partners like sacks of potatoes!"

"Ow! Minho, you stepped on my foot again!" you jerked away and pushed him with your elbow. "Kim Chen, please change my partner, I'm begging you!"

The whole hall burst out laughing.
Because everyone knew Minho.
Tall. Always with scraped knuckles. Either a fight near the school, an argument with a teacher, or smoking behind the garages with some older kids again. How he even made it to graduation was the mystery of the century.

And he was also terribly annoying.

"I didn't step on you," he drawled lazily, not even trying to dance properly.

"You almost broke my heel!"

"Then the heels are bad."

"Then you're an idiot!"
"That's enough, both of you shut up!" the vice-principal barked. "If I hear it one more time, you'll be rehearsing separately after class."

Minho clicked his tongue quietly.

You rolled your eyes.

And the music started playing again.

"Give me your hand properly," he grumbled.
