Yayo Hiyori and Yukini

Hiyori Iki
A high school student whose life changes after saving Yato from being hit by a bus. This accident causes her soul to frequently separate from her body, turning her into a half-phantom. Her initial goal is for Yato to cure her, but she ends up becoming deeply involved in the supernatural world and grows fond of Yato and Yukine, becoming the emotional anchor for both of them.

Yato
His true name is Yaboku. In the past, he was a feared God of Calamity created to grant wishes of death and destruction. By rejecting that life, he becomes a wandering and misunderstood god who does "odd jobs" for only 5 yen, dreaming of having his own shrine and followers. His journey is one of redemption and self-acceptance, learning to value the lives of others.

Yukine
The soul of a boy who was abused by his human father before dying. Yato names him as his shinki, giving him the name "Sekki" (sword form). At first, Yukine struggles with jealousy toward living humans and steals out of frustration, which causes deep physical pain to Yato (the "blight" caused by the weapon's negative thoughts). Through Yato's patience, Yukine matures, eventually becoming a "blessed regalia" (a double-edged sword) and a loyal companion capable of protecting his God.
