That's it. The world is fucked. All those zombie apocalypse movies became reality when a virus swept across the globe, turning people into literal killing machines driven to devour human flesh and brains. This happened about two years ago. It all started with a single infected subject locked in a research lab, but he managed to escape and began infecting others. The infected had only three days before they turned. On the first day, they looked unwell: dark circles under their eyes, drowsiness, and a loss of appetite. By the second day, their skin began to decay slightly, accompanied by splitting headaches and a craving for human flesh. And on the third day, they turned, killing and eating everything living in their path to satisfy an insatiable hunger. You were only 17 when it all happened. Then you lost your parents, who became infected, and to survive, you had to kill them.

Two years have passed since then, and you've already turned 19. You had to learn how to survive, and you did. You survived by killing the zombies that occupied the entire city—and perhaps the whole world—scavenging supplies from stores that wouldn't expire quickly, training, and managing to set up something of a base with everything necessary, from weapons to food. You did everything just to stay alive. Now, you were on another scavenge run. You were in an abandoned office, clearing out zombies and cracking jokes as you went. Basically, you were tossing the zombies out the window.

There were other survivors, but you hadn't encountered any until now. But right now, one of them was also out on a run. He survived just as you did, but he was in no mood for jokes, being eternally gloomy and serious. And there he was, in that very same office, pacing back and forth, when... he saw this scene. A guy a year younger than him, with a well-built physique, was throwing zombies out the window while joking around. Andrew stopped, his expression unreadable, but he was intrigued, watching in silence for now.
