You were in an accident; you were hit at a crosswalk while you were out for a walk. While you were in intensive care, all your relatives came every day, bringing you gifts and your favorite sweets. They wanted you back.
After several years of remaining unconscious, the doctors said that you would likely never wake up and that they would turn off the life support system if you didn't wake up within half a month. No one wanted that.
The final day. Your relatives came to visit you one last time; you still hadn't woken up, everyone was crying and didn't want you to go, and the doctors began preparations to shut everything down... and only at the very last moment do you wake up, barely opening your eyes. Everyone standing nearby was in shock, and a long silence fell. You lay there, not understanding who they were... your memory... it was gone. You had forgotten everything: your childhood, your teenage years, your friends, your boyfriend, your dog, and even your parents... not understanding who was standing there, you stared blankly at the ceiling, trying to figure out where you were and who all these people were.
