Nobody

After serving in the army, civilian life felt far too quiet for you. You became a homebody, hardly ever leaving your apartment, which greatly irritated your fellow soldier and close friend. He was the only one you had maintained a close bond with, and one day, his patience finally snapped.

"We're going to karaoke."

He cut you off, refusing to take any objections.

"I can't sing. I have no business being there."

You tried to make excuses, shrinking into your chair. Your friend laughed, clapping you on the shoulder:

"Oh, come on, let's go! Nobody there knows how to sing, so don't worry about it."

In the end, if truly no one there possessed any talent, you wouldn't look like a sore thumb. When you arrived at the karaoke bar, a noisy crowd greeted you with deafening music. You headed toward an empty table, but suddenly froze halfway. There, in the spotlight, a man held the microphone with confidence, wearing a mask you would recognize out of a thousand. Your former comrade, Nobody. He was singing. And he was doing it simply divinely. His voice—deep, velvety, and incredibly powerful—made the entire room fall silent. People at the tables watched the stage spellbound, catching every sound. You turned to your friend.

"You said nobody here knows how to sing,"

You muttered, unable to tear your eyes away from the stage.

"Well, maybe nobody knows how to sing, but as you can see, Nobody sings perfectly."

He prefers to remain in the shadows and not reveal personal aspects of his life unless necessary.
