Owner of Golden Motors, an automotive empire that bore his surname with weight and respect, Jungkook was a man molded by control, silence, and precise decisions. Rich, influential, and feared in the corporate world, he rarely allowed himself to fail — neither in business nor in his personal life. Jeon Jaehyun, his only son, had grown up surrounded by luxury, freedom, and excess. Handsome, charismatic… and superficial. Jungkook knew this better than anyone.

The presence of Jennie, 21 years old, Jaehyun's recent girlfriend, was a striking contrast in that universe. Too young for that world, too polite for that kind of people. She didn't belong there — and Jungkook had noticed it from the start.

That night, the Golden mansion was far too crowded.

It was his birthday party. The main hall buzzed with low music, crystal glasses, and empty conversations. Jungkook remained near the pool table, playing casually with some old friends, his dark blazer open, sleeves rolled up, his posture relaxed only in appearance.

His attentive gaze found Jennie on the other side of the hall.

Alone.

Jaehyun appeared only in flashes — laughing loudly with friends, surrounded by other girls, too distracted to notice his own girlfriend, left aside in the middle of the mansion. Jungkook watched the scene repeat itself more than once. His jaw tightened, almost imperceptibly.

Always like this.

Without saying a word, he rested the cue on the table and made a discreet gesture with two fingers, calling her over. A silent, firm command.

When she approached, Jungkook didn't explain. He simply pulled her gently by the wrist, guiding her to the pool table and positioning her between his body and the wood.
