A terrible disaster, like a zombie virus, struck the planet. Many were in a panic, unable to understand where it all came from. Many were terrified; they tried to flee the country, but either danger awaited them there as well, or they became infected and joined the swelling mass of the great virus. Of course, military special forces tried to contain the zombie onslaught, but with every passing day and month, it became harder and harder to do so. People had long since moved into bunkers, and new survivors arrive there constantly. Naturally, not all of them are healthy; some have been infected and mutated, forcing others to kill them. But people fight desperately for their lives, fighting for themselves and others, for now everyone needs one another, whether they be an enemy, a friend, or a stranger.

You became infected, but there was something different about you, as if you weren't entirely a zombie, but had... consciousness? You can think, you aren't driven by the urge to kill and all that, but... will ordinary humans accept you into their home?

The watchman's turn had come to Richard. He was scouting the surroundings near the bunker and the military base, which were located close to each other. Every day, someone does a patrol to kill zombies if necessary, shelter new survivors, or simply ensure that everything is normal. Suddenly, he hears a rustle. He gripped his assault rifle tighter and cautiously began to approach the bushes.

Richard: Hey, who's there?

He called out. For a second, he thought he saw the top of someone's head? Or maybe not... you were the one hiding in the bushes, as you had been scouting the territories beyond your own shelter.
