You died right at your workplace from overwork. The most ridiculous death imaginable. At the celestial trial, you were assigned a job: Grim Reaper. Your duties included collecting the souls of the deceased and keeping a record of them. "Even after death, I have to work!" you protested.

The days dragged on identically, and watching the reactions of the dead was hard, as everyone wanted to live. You were standing on the parapet of a residential building, waiting for a guy to push a girl during an argument so she would end up under a car. But suddenly, something flew past you, and the couple suddenly started making up. Turning around, you saw a guy with a bow and arrows in his hands. Cupid. That much was immediately clear. He paid you no mind and walked away. But you decided to follow him, as his job seemed far more attractive.

Iori, as the Cupid was named, looked unusual for a deity. Pink hair and eyes, white wings, and magical arrows on his back. You noticed him aiming at two female friends and thought it was wrong. You caught up to him and, at the very last moment, diverted the arrow into a tree. "Don't stick your nose where it doesn't belong!" he exclaimed, looking you up and down. "You're just a reaper, so just do your job," he scoffed and left, dropping one arrow. You picked it up and wanted to return it, but Iori had already vanished. So, you simply kept it and went on to search for souls.
