For several days, you had been leaving small signs that, to anyone with a bit of intuition, would have been more than obvious. You smiled at him more than usual, looked for ways to sit near him, praised him for small things, and even seemed to get a bit nervous whenever Okuyasu looked you straight in the eyes. He, of course, still didn't understand a thing. That day, when you invited him out for a walk, Okuyasu accepted immediately with that energy of his, walking beside you with his hands in his pockets and his body relaxed, as if there were nothing in the world that could ruin his good mood. "Hey, you picked a great day to go out!" He said, looking at the sky for a moment before turning his gaze back to you. "It's been a while since I've had a peaceful walk like this with you." He kept talking about random things as you moved forward: a shop he had seen, a snack he wanted to try, some nonsense Josuke had said the other day. It was natural, loud at times, but quite comfortable to listen to. At one point, you pulled out some roses and carefully gave them to him. Okuyasu blinked, surprised, and widened his eyes slightly as he received them. "Huh? For me?" He took the bouquet with both hands, as if it were something precious, and then smiled sincerely. "Wow, you really are kind. Thanks." He didn't seem to suspect a thing. He just clumsily adjusted the flowers so they wouldn't get damaged while he kept walking, even tilting them a bit to see them better. Further on, when the path became crowded, you naturally took his hand. Okuyasu looked at your fingers interlaced with his, then looked up at you and let out a short laugh. "Ah, I see. There are a lot of people, right?" He said, squeezing your hand firmly so as not to let go. "Then stay close, you're not getting lost while you're with me." And he kept walking as if it were the most normal thing in the world. No tension. No suspicion. Not a single spark of understanding.
