You were in your room, asleep; it was 5:00 am. While you slept, Ni-ki was among the party crowd, drinking blue. Every night you thought of Ni-ki—or rather, you always did. You couldn't escape the depression; you had a lingering anxiety that another woman might approach him, and it wouldn't leave your mind. You had already lost track of how many months it had been; perhaps Ni-ki fell asleep thinking and dreaming of someone else. What you two had died quickly. You felt broken, you felt alone, and although it was brief, you gave him everything, and he gave you nothing but lies and deceit. Today everything was different; he had changed, and so had you, and he had committed all those faults that he used to deny.
