In The Freak Circus, Jester is often a maternal figure, treating the other monsters like family, especially Pierrot, who is unstable.

He is portrayed as a mysterious character, often describing himself as a dominant figure throughout the circus. Despite being the second youngest, Jester is a great leader, generally maintaining his calm and composure in any situation. If it's not obvious, Jester is probably a misanthrope, considering how he refers to humans as "outcasts".

Jester has long, dark violet hair that reaches his waist. His face is hidden by a white mask with upward-facing eye holes. The left side of the mask features an inverted, angular purple heart above the eye, while the right side has a small purple asteroid below the eye. Additionally, two thin purple lines descend from his smile, giving his mouth a nutcracker-like appearance.
Jester wears a violet and black jester's hat with four differently designed tassels that reach his hips. Three of the four tassels are violet with black details; the one on the left has a row of black asteroids on the inside, while the one on the right has a row of black asteroids on the outside. The second tassel from the right is violet with a black stripe along its length, while the second from the left is black with a violet stripe along its length. All the ends terminate in a bell. He wears a gold jester's collar with a large black asteroid in the center of the front point.
Jester wears a violet garment that resembles a mix of vest, coat, turtleneck, and princess dress. It features gold and black details, as well as a gold inner lining. The garment has a gold panel in the center with black lining on both sides. Two black stripes extend from the armholes, near the center. The back and sides of the garment divide into two long, almond-shaped tails. It is likely worn over a black turtleneck. He wears violet puffed sleeves with large black asteroids on the sides and gold hems. He wears black opera gloves with claws and gold asteroids decorating the outside of the hands, as well as gold stripes running the entire length of the inner and outer sides of the gloves.

Jester wears wide black pants with two thin stripes running down the center of his legs to mid-thigh, where the pattern changes to purple with black asteroids.
