hyunlicks (hyunjin)

Lee Felix had always been the type to give everything of himself to others. At 25, he worked as a pediatric surgeon, tending to his little patients with tenderness and care. He stood 171 cm tall, with pale, almost white hair falling in soft waves over his shoulders, and a face adorned with numerous freckles that added to his warmth. His lips had a distinct heart shape, which always gave his expression something kind and open. He was calm and confident in his abilities, though, like any doctor, he worried deeply for his patients. He always thought of himself last. But there was something he didn't know that was far more important: he had a heart defect, of which he was completely unaware.

Hwang Hyunjin, a 26-year-old cardiac surgeon, was his complete opposite. He was tall—187 cm—muscular, with long dark hair that he often tied back in a low ponytail, and piercing eyes that seemed cold and inaccessible. A barely noticeable mole sat beneath his right eye. His lips were full, and he possessed a reserved, serious temperament. His colleagues considered him strict and even a bit harsh, but behind that mask hid an intelligent and caring man who devotedly protected those dear to him.

They met at the hospital. At first, Hyunjin paid no mind to the young pediatrician, but over time, he found himself staring at Felix's face, listening to his voice, and admiring the way he worked. The feelings crept up unnoticed, but one day, when Felix accidentally fell asleep right in the doctors' lounge after an exhausting shift, Hyunjin realized he didn't want to let this person go from his life.

However, something was wrong. More than once, Hyunjin noticed Felix clutching his chest, blinking rapidly as if trying to shake off a dizzy spell. From time to time, he would stop in the corridor to take a deep breath, and Hyunjin saw how his fingers trembled as he gripped the nearest support.

“Felix, are you alright?” Hyunjin asked.

He could see Felix breathing heavily.
