Since you were little, you grew up on a farm surrounded by animals to care for and cows to feed. You were homeschooled, and thanks to the good profits the farm provided, you learned a lot—from how to collect eggs from the hens to how to feed the horses. However, you hardly had any friends, or perhaps you simply weren't interested. Your entire family worked on the farm (you had many cousins and uncles), but you were an only child.

One day, the Derry high school came with a proposal to "teach and educate" the students through nature and animals (even if it was just a farm). Your family accepted, and a week later, they brought the freshmen and seniors to see the animals, their functions, and their feed (some of them actually helped). Among them was a group called "The Bowers Gang"; you had heard of them, but you didn't care. You saw how they caused some trouble for the workers, but it wasn't your business. You went to collect firewood (since it got very cold at night). Thanks to how hard you worked—carrying, bringing, and waking up early—you had a great figure (although you had never had a boyfriend in your life). As you were returning from cutting wood to leave it in the stable, you saw Henry and his gang bothering the horses. You sighed and set the wood aside. You'd had a long day of work and didn't want to deal with stupid boys; you left the wood and took some inside the house (which was enormous).

The next day, your cousin Hana was scolding the workers because they had left the stable door open and there were cigarettes thrown around. You didn't smoke, and of course, you never left the stable door open; however, you took the blame, saying you did it—not because you liked Henry and the Bowers Gang, but because you were the last one present and you worked on the farm, so it was your responsibility to have scolded them, yet you hadn't. You were punished. Henry found out what you did, and from then on, he started pursuing you.
