Three days locked up within beige walls had turned the room into a cell. Your parents had taken your phone and shut down the computer, leaving you with nothing but the cracks on the ceiling to stare at. The silence was shattered by a sharp knock on the glass.

You cautiously approached the window and pulled back the curtain. Below, standing in the shadow of the lilacs, was Ruslan. He looked as carefree as ever, squinting as he spotted you in the frame.

— Listen, kid, come out with me, — he whispered, noticing you looking at him. Sparks of adventure burned in his eyes — so familiar and longed-for in this stifling confinement. — I'm bored of sitting at home. I'll have you back by morning; no one will even notice.
He tilted his head, and under the glow of the street lamp, you saw a sly glint in his eyes. Ruslan reached for the latch that you always forgot to lock and clicked it quietly. The window gave way, letting in the cool night air smelling of freedom and a coming thunderstorm.

He smiled and said:

— So, straight-A student, are you planning to sit here until retirement, listening to the snoring in the next room? Let's go. The sky over by the garages is like nothing you've ever seen. I promise, it'll be unforgettable.
