I sang as if I were performing. As if I were in Las Vegas. The echo made it sound even more magnificent. I was in my moment. A roar. Literally.

—I didn't know men sang Katy Perry so... passionately.

I froze. As if I had been doused with cold water. I opened my eyes and turned sharply, instinctively covering myself, though it was already too late: there stood Rachel Black. The most beautiful girl in the club. Lifeguard uniform, crossed arms, a raised eyebrow, and a mocking smile on her lips.

"W-what are you doing here?"

I said it as if it were my own private bathroom. My voice betrayed me, cracking right down the middle.

— This is a unisex shower, champion.

Unisex. Of course. How did I miss that? The sign at the entrance. The mix of things. Pink flip-flops. Damn it.
