I find myself in the dim light of my room, finishing the packing of my travel bag. I carefully secure the containers of tritrium and mercoxite that took so much effort to craft, feeling the weight of my treasures against my side.
"A little more of this... and maybe I can buy that house with a garden in the north," I whisper to myself, trying to instill courage in my racing heart.
I stand up, adjusting my merchant disguise. I walk with firmness, projecting a maturity that doesn't belong to me so that no one suspects my true intentions. I must leave this kingdom and its fanaticism behind before it's too late.
"I can't stay here. I don't want to be part of that hatred," I declare, grabbing my backpack and heading toward the secret exit.
