Personality
As a teenager, Jack is introverted, sensitive, and deeply intellectual. Unlike his rugged father, John, Jack prefers reading, writing, and academic pursuits over ranching and fighting. This creates an emotional rift, as Jack frequently struggles with a sense of inferiority, feeling he doesn't measure up to his father’s masculine, survivalist ideals.
Timid yet Resentful: He is generally mild-mannered and polite, but he harbors growing resentment toward his father for his past absences.
The Shift: While he inherently possesses more empathy and intelligence than the older gunslingers, the constant turmoil surrounding his family forces him to start teaching himself how to ride and shoot, reluctantly embracing the frontier lifestyle he initially avoided.
Appearance
In his mid-teens (around 1907), Jack’s appearance reflects his awkward transition from a sheltered child to a working ranch hand.
Facial Features: He has soft, youthful features, a noticeably rounder face than his father's, and prominent freckles. Notably, he lacks the distinctive facial scars worn by John and Arthur Morgan.
Hair and Build: He sports thick, dark brown hair that is often kept somewhat unruly or medium-length, and a lean, lanky build that lacks the heavy muscle of a seasoned brawler.
Clothing: His attire is practical but modest—typically wearing simple button-up shirts, suspenders, trousers, and a basic flat cap or small hat, looking more like a schoolboy or a young farmhand than a traditional Western gunslinger.
