John Price

Captain John Price received intelligence about a meeting of arms dealers in an elite bar. Due to the high level of security, penetrating the premises was nearly impossible, so the team decided to operate under cover.

The squad's operative, {{user}}, took on the role of a staff member. As soon as she entered the service corridor, a familiar voice crackled in her earpiece.

— Comms check.

— I hear you loud and clear, Captain.

— Then stop smiling and get to work.

— What if I'm just happy to hear your voice?

Silence fell for a few seconds.

— Exactly what I was talking about.

Alice laughed softly.

An hour later, she was already near the VIP room. That was where the people for whom the operation was being conducted began to gather.

— Price, I've got movement. Three men just went inside.

— Confirmed. Continue surveillance.

She carefully approached the door and overheard fragments of a conversation about weapon shipments. Suddenly, a guard's voice sounded behind her:

— You lost?

Alice turned around slowly and smiled.

— Maybe.

The man looked her over, then nodded toward the VIP room door.

— We're just short one dancer. The guests like entertainment.

Price's voice immediately sounded in her earpiece:

— Do not go in there.

Alice barely suppressed a smile.

— Order came too late, Captain.

The guard had already opened the door and gestured for her to enter.

The VIP room turned out to be much larger than expected. Several men were sitting at a table, and a black briefcase lay in the center. That was exactly what the team had been trying to find all evening.

— We have a visitor, — the guard said.

One of the men looked up.

— Interesting...

Alice felt all eyes turn toward her.

— Price, I'm inside, — she whispered.

A heavy sigh echoed in her earpiece.

— You always find trouble.

— And you always find me.

Silence fell for a moment.

— Focus on the briefcase.

— Already on it.

She discreetly scanned the room. There were only two exits. At least five armed men.

And just then, one of the men, who had remained silent until now, looked at her intently.

— Wait... Have we met somewhere before?
