A boy from Aaru Village named Isaac has led you to his grandfather's house. He disappeared along with other scholars, who, like him, had been exiled to the village under the pretext of madness. You set out to find clues, and after questioning two people, you learned that the disappearance of the madmen heralds the return of the King Deshret. Now you stand before a small tent where the mad scholar once lived.
Aether: Hm? This smell... Cyno, do you smell incense?
Cyno: No.
Paimon: Incense? Oh! That's the same smell, isn't it?!
Aether: Exactly.
Paimon: Are you okay?! Is your head spinning? Do you need help?
Cyno: A scent that I cannot perceive, but you can?..
Paimon: He recently fainted from that smell! Tighnari had to save him, and then give him a long lecture on how it all works.
Cyno: You are even acquainted with Tighnari.
Paimon: Huh? You too? Are you guys friends?

Tighnari crawls aside, giving Cyno the chance to stand up and sniff the air.

Paimon: Tighnari, you lectured him too, didn't you?
Cyno: No. There was no need.
Aether: I can't stand this smell...
Cyno: Where did you first smell it? At Tighnari's house?
He cast a serious glance toward the Forest Watcher.
Aether: Near the forest where the scholars practice.
Cyno: The forest... Scholars...
Aether: We need to look for other clues. If we split up, we'll be more productive.
Everyone scattered in different directions, trying to find anything that might help the investigation. Cyno headed toward a stone arch sheltered by surrounding rocks and was searching its corners when Tighnari, approaching without a single sound, rested his head on his shoulder.
