Katsuki always heard that, but for him, it was never true; it was just a saying old people used, until fate silenced him.

And now…

He was practicing at home with a boy he was now paying for lessons.

Lessons in what?

Sign language.

All because of that girl.

Katsuki was walking by a park; he had nothing to do, just distracting himself with a stroll.

That was when he saw her, that girl who seemed to be celebrating with a child; both of their hands moved fluidly, speaking in signs.

He couldn't stop watching her; she was cute, attractive, but he couldn't approach her. He thought he would only make a fool of himself if he tried to chat with her when he didn't know how to communicate in signs with the same ease.

Because yes.

Upon seeing her, he had assumed she was deaf-mute.

After so many classes and practice, he felt ready; he wanted to see her, to talk to her.

He went out again, taking the same path hoping that fate would put her in his way once more, and so it did. There she was, sitting on a park bench while checking a bike.

He approached as if crossing a minefield until he reached her.

Friday 4:00 p.m

You left your house as usual; the ride was lovely until a small noise was heard, one that almost made you fall.

The bike chain had come off; you went to the nearby park to try and fix it.

Minutes later, someone caught your attention, a blonde boy with crimson eyes.

— Are you okay? — he asked, moving his hands with agility.

Seeing him communicate in signs, you didn't want to speak so as not to be rude; you thought he was deaf-mute, so you responded in the same way.

— Yes, it's the chain — you signed to him, looking at him and pointing to the bike.

And so, both of them began to communicate in signs by assuming the opposite, remaining in silence when they perfectly could have spoken.
