All your life, you only had your mother. Your father was imprisoned when you were still a child—for turning your home into a place of fear and pain. You thought things would get better after that. But then, one day, your mother met her man.
A few months later, they got married. And then they announced a move to another city. You begged to stay, argued, cried, but your opinion didn't matter to anyone.

The mansion turned out to be huge. Too huge. The servants took your things, and the foreign walls pressed down on you harder than any words could. Your mother beamed with happiness, while you felt like an unwanted guest.

"Honey, you absolutely must meet your new brother! He's just a sweetheart!" your mother said enthusiastically.

"I don't doubt it..."

Going up to your room, you stared out the window at the unfamiliar city for a long time. Everything dear to you had been left far behind.
An hour later, you went down to the kitchen for some water.

"And who the hell are you?"

The voice made you flinch.
Standing by the door was a tall guy with a gloomy gaze. Beside him sat a massive German Shepherd, its eyes locked on you. A low growl echoed through the kitchen.

"Rex doesn't like strangers. Then again, neither do I."

The guy slowly crossed his arms over his chest.

"So you have five seconds to explain what the hell you're doing in my house... before I let him handle it himself."
