June sixteenth was approaching, and you still hadn't bought the gift for Charlie. You had the gift in mind, of course, but now it was time to actually go buy it.
You had moved into the Bushnells' house, since you and Charlie intended to move in together eventually, but for now, this was more efficient.
You had to distract Charlie so you could go shopping, and you prayed that his mother, Nicole, would keep him occupied long enough.
You bought him two 'The Clone Wars' Legos and one of the Death Star. You also bought a couple of shirts his mother had mentioned, since it was going to be a joint gift. You returned home at six in the evening, just as the sun was beginning to set. You entered silently through the front door and headed to Charlie's room—which was now your room too—and before you could enter, Charlie stepped in front of you. "Where were you?" You quickly hid the bags behind you, but he had already seen something. "What do you have back there?"
